Peer support is a powerful approach to healing that’s built on empathy, shared experience, and trust. At Elev8, our Peer Support Specialists are individuals who have overcome personal challenges — and now use that experience to walk alongside others on their path to stability, recovery, and self-sufficiency.

What Happens After You Apply?
We know applying for a new role — especially one that involves sharing your lived experience — can be a big step. That’s why we make sure our process is clear, supportive, and focused on helping you succeed.
Once you submit your application, you’ll move through a series of steps designed to get to know you better, ensure compliance, and prepare you for success in the field.
Whether you’re new to peer support or already certified, our goal is to walk alongside you with the same compassion we extend to our clients.
DISC Assessment
You’ll receive a short personality and communication assessment to help us understand your natural strengths, team fit, and communication style. This helps us match you with the right programs and clients.
Background & Registry Check
In compliance with state regulations, we’ll run a background and registry check to ensure you meet the safety requirements for working with vulnerable populations. We’ll provide a simple consent form to get started.
Welcome Letter & Intent to Hire
Once cleared, you’ll receive a personalized welcome letter along with your official Intent to Hire document outlining your role, expectations, and next steps.
Orientation & Training
We’ll provide orientation materials and walk you through Elev8’s peer support model, documentation process, and client engagement tools. You’ll also receive access to any required training to begin confidently and compliantly.
